Qingdao: Things You Didn't Know

As my second hometown, Qingdao holds a special place in my heart. I spent four years there as an undergraduate and have returned many times since. Here is my personal summary of the city. No offense intended. 1️⃣ Ocean University of China is in Qingdao, not Qinghai or Beijing. 2️⃣ You won't find shrimp for CNY 38 each unless you go to an internet-famous restaurant. 3️⃣ Choose one of the following beaches: No. 1 Bathing Beach, No. 2 Bathing Beach, No. 3 Bathing Beach, Xiaomai Island, Liuqing River, Golden Beach, or Silver Beach. 4️⃣ Xiaoyu Hill is free, but you need to make a reservation on WeChat in advance. 5️⃣ There is nothing on top of the Zhanqiao Pier tower, so you don't need to go there. 6️⃣ The best time to see the maple leaves at Badaguan is in October. 7️⃣ Wear sunscreen. The sun is very strong.
