The Stone Village is located next to the Hejiang River in Shuguang Village, Shuikou Town, with a total of 25 households, 2 kilometers away from Shuikou Town. This place used to be a main road for the ancient tea-horse road to enter Kangba. The two households with the highest stone walls used to be the accommodation for the porters. The old society was plagued by bandits. Compared with earth walls and wooden fences, stone walls have stronger defensive capabilities. Moreover, it is easy to obtain stones from the river here, so every household has built stone walls. The Stone Village is also called Caiheba, because there were more people with the surname Cai in the past. In 2016, the Stone Village was listed as the first batch of traditional villages in Chengdu. There are still many villagers living in the Stone Village now. The old houses have been maintained to a certain extent. The road is clean and tidy, and it is a characteristic western Sichuan village.
