Kinabalu National Park - Borneo, Malaysia

Kinabalu is a national park located on the island of Sabah. On its territory there is one of the highest mountains in Malaysia, in honor of which the park was named. Many legends are associated with this mountain: it is believed that spirits live here. And at the foot of the mountain stretched the ancient jungle. These are evergreen dense tropical forests, where interesting plants are found at every turn. Here, for example, more than 1,000 species of beautiful orchids grow, as well as carnivorous flowers and the largest and most unusual flower in the world - rafflesia, reaching a meter in diameter and feeding on insects. Most of the local plants are endemic - that is, they can only be found in these places. And among the animal world here you can see different monkeys, deer and the Malaysian bear. On the territory of the park, a natural recreation complex Poring Hot Springs was opened especially for tourists, where visitors of the park can enjoy relaxing hot springs. #bucketlistreboot #malaysia
