My Journey to Ostia Antica Rome Italy

It is a the little details that make Ostia Antica worth the visit at Rome Italy. The ruins is actually not that well preserved and while there are apparently frescoe there of similar quality to Pompeii, the lack of staffing means they are only open to the public very rarely and abit limit. Details here, that I have not seen as well-preserved at other sites. There is a super well-preserved restaurant / bar that really gives you the feel for what the atmosphere might have been like inside a Roman restaurant an age long ago. The Casa di Diana is the best preserved insulated ( multi-storied apartment building) I have seen anywhere. Behind the theatre there is a courtyard lined with the Roman equivalent of 'guild houses, each with a mosaic announcing the trade of the guild members and publics. One of the wealthier houses has a toilet that can still be seen and there is also a well-preserved set of public toilets. The site is uncrowded and really pleasant to wander around.If you are really love ruins and historical sites considering the tours was an option for you all discover more.
