The famous eatery from Tai Wai has opened in Sai Wan! A pet-friendly, hipster café.

Finally, it's Friday! I chose to have dinner at a newly opened, well-known Tai Wai eatery in Sai Wan. The overall experience was very satisfying. The environment is hipster and comfortable, and the restaurant even has a dedicated pet area, which is quite rare in the crowded and expensive Central and Western District. First, I ordered the 'Golden Soft Shell Crab and Salmon Roe Seafood Salad Toast Box.' The colorful presentation is very Instagrammable. The soft shell crab is crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The salmon roe adds a fresh and salty flavor to the toast 🍞, and the creamy scrambled eggs in the center make the toast rich and satisfying. Next, I tried the 'Seared Salmon Set Meal.' The salmon was seared to perfection, with a slightly charred exterior while remaining tender inside. The 'Chicken Wing Platter' is also a popular dish in the restaurant, featuring Gyoza Chicken Wings and Sesame Chicken Wings. The Gyoza Chicken Wings are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, paired with a special sauce that is very flavorful. The Sesame Chicken Wings are aromatic and savory. The Charcoal Black Sesame Milk can be substituted with oat milk, making it smooth and reminiscent of drinking sesame paste. They also offer some Japanese alcoholic beverages. The Japanese plum wine is sweet and pairs well with their snacks, and it's reasonably priced at $120 for two people to share. For dessert, the signature 'E for Egg Cheese Milk Cap Waffle' is quite a surprise. It's savory and aromatic, with a delicate presentation. I like that it's not too sweet, and the waffle is crispy with a stretchy mochi texture inside.
