Big Town on the Prairie

Saskatoon is Saskatchewan's biggest city. As such, it's an expansive city that although doesn't have many sights to visit, is still interesting especially if you pass through for a day. Centered around Midtown Plaza, the Downtown area is a collection of streets that is home to several small businesses and hotels. Here you'll find most things in the city. The Midtown Plaza is a mall on the former railway station's original site. The city is also a very outdoorsy city and you'll find many bridges crossing the river. Even though it's quite a trek, I do recommend crossing it as the view from the other side is really nice. You'll also find the University of Saskatchewan, which is a large campus where you can relax and roam around. The surrounding district is also quite nice to wander around and explore smaller shops and boutiques. Overall, Saskatoon is a good stopover city to visit.
