Museum of the Castillo de San Jorge - Seville

It is located next to the Isabel II Bridge. It was created on the site of the San Jorge Castle. This medieval fortress was used as the seat of the Spanish Inquisition and a prison. At the beginning of the 20th century, the castle was almost destroyed. A city food market appeared in its place. After some time, it was decided to create a historical museum on this site. It tells the story of the fortress, the Spanish Inquisition, and religious repression. This museum will be of interest to people who want to learn a little more about the history of Seville. #europetrip
