Shanghai Glass Museum

The long-awaited Shanghai Glass Museum, strictly speaking, is actually a multifunctional glass-themed park, which includes not only the main museum of the Shanghai Glass Museum, but also the Children's Glass Museum, Thermal Theater, Glass Maze, 'Broken' Exhibition Hall, as well as restaurants and cultural and creative shops. The predecessor of the Shanghai Glass Museum was the former Shanghai Glass Instrument Factory. During the renovation, a large amount of the original spatial structure and details were retained. The former furnace workshop has now transformed into a large-scale art space with glass as the theme, and it has been rated as a national AAAA-level tourist attraction. The main museum and the new design museum are the core parts of the entire park, and the two museums are connected by the 'Rainbow Bridge'. The main museum contains 7 exhibition halls, displaying nearly a thousand exquisite glass exhibits, detailing the history and charm of glass art; the new design museum gathers the classic works of many top designers at home and abroad. The Children's Glass Museum is the busiest place in the park. There are various interactive experience projects tailored for children aged 4-12. Children can DIY glass products by themselves, learn knowledge while playing, and families with children should not miss here.
