It has always been said that the Bellagio by Suning Shanghai offers the best vantage point for viewing the Waibaidu Bridge and the Suzhou River. Looking east along the Suzhou River, one can see a century-old architectural complex on both sides, a steel bridge nearby, and the "four-piece set" of Lujiazui in the distance. Many of Shanghai's promotional videos are shot from this location. As a hotel connoisseur, I couldn't miss this opportunity! The hotel is located on the east side of the Postal Museum, between the Zhapu Road Bridge and the North Sichuan Road Bridge on the Suzhou River. The main building is actually newly constructed, but at its core is a five-story building from the 1920s. A stroll around the guest room floors reveals the courtyard structure of the old and new buildings. As an American luxury hotel brand, Bellagio's pursuit of design and quality is trustworthy. The interior decoration emphasizes the fusion of modern artistic sense and traditional elements. You can see grand chandeliers in the style of European palaces, elements of Chinese traditional painting, and a dazzling map made of mirror pieces. Perhaps the most famous feature is the "Secret Garden" ceramic flower wall in the lobby lounge, with 1,500 ceramic roses handcrafted by a Canadian artist over four months. Previously, Yan Ni and her daughter took a series of mother-daughter photos in this public space, which was quite interesting. PS: The Suzhou River sightseeing walkway is just outside the lobby lounge, perfect for an afternoon tea. The hotel rooms start at 60 square meters in size and are well-equipped. Whether it's the furniture, lighting, or sofa bed, the quality is excellent, embodying the so-called "old money" style. The particularly extravagant vintage bathtub is irresistible for a bubble bath. However, those planning to book should note that only the rooms facing the Suzhou River have river views. Also, about half of the river-view rooms have terraces, so be sure to distinguish the names correctly. Breakfast is served at Café Bellagio on the second floor, in a semi-buffet style. The variety isn't extensive, but the bread is absolutely delicious, and the local Shanghai wonton soup is also excellent. The hotel's Chinese restaurant, Jiafu No.1, is located in another 1920s building. The private environment and atmosphere are unforgettable. The hotel is most famous for its unbeatable terrace views. One is the LAGO bar by Julian Serrano on the sixth floor, and the other is the rooftop terrace. It's the perfect spot to view the "four-piece set" of Lujiazui along the Suzhou River, with the Waibaidu Bridge in the foreground. The century-old architecture of Shanghai can all be captured in one frame, making it a location that photographers can't resist. The most famous recent guests here are probably Jay Chou and the mother of the world's richest man (Maye Musk, mother of Elon Musk). I wanted to replicate their experience, but it seems the season is different, the terrace setup isn't quite the same, and the angle isn't quite right.
