Shangsheng Place

Shangsheng Place is located at No. 1262 Yan'an West Road, Shanghai, and is a comprehensive cultural and artistic living circle within the Xinhua Road Historical Features District in Changning District, Shanghai. It consists of several historical buildings, including the Sun Ke Villa, the Columbia Country Club, the Navy Club, and its affiliated swimming pool, among others. These buildings have undergone multiple changes over nearly a century, originally being the Columbia Country Club, and the Shanghai Institute of Biological Products was also located here at one time. Now, after renovation, it has become a new type of urban commercial circle that integrates culture, creative offices, commerce, dining, retail, and more, providing a new venue for citizens and tourists to work, relax, consume, and entertain, with historical significance and a highly regarded urban landmark space. In particular, the Tsutaya Bookstore, one of the 20 most beautiful bookstores in the world, a Japanese brand store, is the first of its kind in Shanghai. The combination of book sales, creative gifts, and the integration of coffee and bars makes for a wonderful time. Also worth mentioning is the Navy Club's affiliated swimming pool, which is also a popular spot for social media check-ins, attracting tourists to visit and take photos. I have been there several times, and I've heard that the nighttime lighting atmosphere is also very romantic. I will take the opportunity to visit again.
