Hotel Experience: The Middle House||First Impression: Upon entering, instead of the grandeur typical of traditional luxury hotels, the lobby doesn't boast a massive chandelier. The soft lighting and spacious sofas make it feel very cozy, more like the foyer of a high-end apartment. The service awareness is excellent, with staff proactively taking luggage and offering to bring check-in directly to the room. 9/10 Room Interior: The 60 square meter open-plan room features walk-in closets and a minibar on either side of the entrance. The closets easily accommodate all luggage and clothing, and are fully equipped with shoe trees, umbrellas, an iron, as well as dumbbells and a yoga mat, with a canvas bag that can be taken away. The complimentary drinks in the minibar include: Coke, Sprite, soda water, milk, coconut water, Tsingtao beer, Asahi beer, and an unlimited supply of bottled drinking water. The coffee machine and capsules are from illy, and there are four types of JING TEA teabags (5 yuan per bag on the official website), with snacks like oat bars and M&M's, all very generous. The bathroom space is dominated by dark matte colors, with a huge rain shower and a separate bathtub that exude luxury, although the water pressure of the rain shower is average. There are two sets of Bamford amenities with a relaxing geranium lavender essential oil scent, and the toiletry bag is fully stocked (and nice enough to take away), including wooden toothbrushes and razors. A Dyson hair dryer is standard. The bedroom is spacious, the bed isn't large, but the bedding is comfortable, and the room lighting can be adjusted to various levels of brightness. The downside is that the artistic design falls short of top-notch works, and the room maintenance is average. 8/10 Hotel Breakfast: The breakfast offers self-service for fruits, beverages, and pastries, with unlimited a la carte options. On good weather days, dining on the terrace is available. The quality of the fruit is above average, and the a la carte menu is above standard. The various Chinese-style dim sum items are not the ordinary frozen products found in typical five-star hotels, and most of the menu items would sell well even outside the hotel. However, because most items are made to order, the service can be a bit slow. The breakfast is definitely excellent among domestic hotels, with the only drawback being the limited variety. 8.5/10 Wellness & Leisure: The wellness area on the basement level is beautiful, with a pool design that is on point. When it's not crowded, there's a sense of seclusion, but the temperature varies between the shallow and deep ends, making swimming feel like moving between spring and winter... After swimming, you can enjoy the bubble massage in the adjacent hot spring pool, followed by a steam in the sauna, blissful. The gym is a bit dark and the design is average, located on the basement level with not the best air quality, but it's very well equipped. A full range of Life Fitness equipment that you can name is available here. The small bar offers fruits and wireless charging, and for environmental reasons, bottled water is not provided, so you have to use a cup to get water from the dispenser. The SPA is average, and if there's a spending limit, it's recommended to save it for dining. 8.5/10 Service Standard: Meets my standards for a good hotel, which is to satisfy all your reasonable requests. Asked for a blanket at the terrace breakfast because it was cold, and the hotel provided one; mentioned an anniversary and asked for a bit of ceremony, the hotel thoughtfully decorated the room and sent a cake and a fragrance gift; called to say I wasn't used to the fragrance, and the hotel sent a candle... 9/10 Conclusion: A hotel that meets the standards of excellence in every aspect, very capable.
