Fuxing Island, having been in Shanghai for over a decade, I only recently discovered this island in the river and hurried over to explore! Follow me today on a CityWalk route through Shanghai in the 1980s. Walking route: Fuxing Island Station (Exit 2) on Line 12 → Fuxing Island Park → Shipyard Park → Fuxing Island Restaurant → Dinghai Bridge Ferry → Jinqiao Road Ferry → EKA Celestial Space → Xiepu Road Ferry → Minsheng Road Ferry → Sister Tan's Hunan Cuisine Restaurant 📷 Here are a few photo spots to share, worth saving: Fuxing Island: Fuxing Island is not very big, less than three kilometers from end to end. There's only one Fuxing Island restaurant on the island, near the right side of the subway station, mainly serving Northwestern noodle dishes. The interior decoration is very retro and fun. There are many old houses on the island, but they are difficult to enter for photography; most are warehouses and residential buildings, with one converted into apartments and a creative park. Fuxing Island Park: The park is very small, a 20-minute stroll at most. But it's also not crowded, making it easy to capture a secret fairyland vibe. There's also a large grassy area for camping—just don't get your hopes up too high, a casual walk will do. EKA Celestial Space: A renovated old factory area, perfect for taking photos and highly recommended. If you're tired from walking, you can also have afternoon tea here. The only downside is that it's too crowded on weekends. Xiepu Road Ferry: Coming here to take photos at sunset is definitely picturesque. It's said to be a filming location for the movie La La Land, and there are quite a few people coming to check in. Walking distance: 13.8km from Yangpu District through Pudong (Biking from EKA to Xiepu Road, the rest on foot, totaling 10km) Total time: 2.45H (including coffee breaks and ferry rides, reserve three hours if you plan to take photos) Two-step route: Marco's Fuxing Island + Xiepu Road walking route Food recommendation: Sister Tan's Hunan Cuisine Restaurant: A Hunan restaurant I've always liked, with authentic flavors.
