Shanghai’s hidden spot: Donglin Temple

Architecture in this place is so different than what I’ve seen so far in the city. Even if this temple if far away from city center, you can get closer to it by going to the last station of line 9 towards Songjiang Railway Station. From there you can take a taxi for around 20 minutes that will take you to the temple’s entrance which is this amazing gold and white infrastructure that stands out from afar. Don’t miss this place when in Shanghai. Closing time is around 5 so you can just make daytime visits.
