With its unique European-style architecture, it tells various stories of the Shanghai style. This trip to Shanghai included a stay at the Wukang Mansion. Although located in the bustling Wukang Road, it offers a unique tranquility. The entire hotel consists of four three-story English country villas, built in 1918, witnessing the prosperity and changes of Shanghai. It was once the executive apartment of an American oil company and also the residence of the famous writer Wang Yuanhua. Many celebrities such as Zhao Liying, Liu Shishi, Wang Sulong, and Cecilia Cheung have checked in here~ Entering the hotel, one is deeply captivated~ The designer cleverly integrates modern romantic elements into the house architecture. The red brick walls, wooden carved staircases, and louvered doors and windows retain the historical charm of old Shanghai houses, while the hotel decor and room furnishings are retro and elegant, also exuding a sense of fashion. Room Features All 19 rooms are named in soft Shanghai dialect. This time, I stayed in the deluxe terrace room 'Huo'. The 24-hour butler service is considerate and thoughtful. The welcome fruit platter, White Rabbit candies, and minibar are all free~ From the terrace, you can directly see Wukang Road, with a view full of greenery that is refreshing and delightful. In the afternoon, sitting on the terrace with friends, having a cup of coffee and chatting, is leisurely and lazy.
