Putuo Xintiandi: Hongshoufang.

Hongshoufang is located at the intersection of Changshou Road and Xikang Road in Putuo District, Shanghai, adjacent to the Jing'an Temple business district. Hongshoufang was built in 1933 and was originally a lane built by businessman Pan Shouren. The main lane and the secondary lane naturally form a fishbone texture. The older generation of Shanghainese are used to calling this area "Dazimingzhong", because there was a 14-meter-high clock tower built in 1926, located at the intersection of Robert Road (now Changshou Road) and Xiaoshadu Road (now Xikang Road), which would ring every 15 minutes. "Dazimingzhong" was also a famous commercial gathering place in West Shanghai. Residents nearby would come here to buy things. Many small workshops and old shops were gathered here. With the development of the times and nearly a hundred years of historical changes, Hongshoufang started to be rebuilt in 2016. In 2019, Rui'an Real Estate won this plot of land, and Rui'an Xintiandi made great efforts to build Hongshoufang. After 4 years, the former Shikumen building reappeared, and the old-style lane that integrates modern commerce and historical style is completely new, becoming a "micro" sample of Shanghai in the process of urban renewal, focusing on "small and fine". Hongshoufang "small but fine" gathers many characteristic food and social brands, including the first SANDO store in Shanghai, a cross-border Japanese cuisine of Italian cuisine, the first CHUAN³ store in Shanghai that plays with alcohol and art, the first innovative Hunan restaurant in East China, the first new upgraded concept store of Kaiji Teahouse advocating local youth culture, the first brand store of the innovative spicy hot pot brand Haohaohao developed by the owner of Taishishou, the bird shop by TORISAWĀ with traditional roast chicken and creative dishes as its characteristics, and the series of characteristic catering brands such as Zhe Dalao·Zhe Zhebao that show the charm of Guangdong late-night snacks.
