A hidden gem of a Shanghai restaurant on the second floor of the Holiday Inn.

  I came to meet a friend nearby for dinner, and they strongly recommended this Shanghai restaurant. To be honest, it's a little hard to find, as the entrance is from the elevator inside the hotel to the second floor, but once you get in, you'll feel instantly refreshed. The environment is simple and elegant, and each private room has a nice name. We booked the "Sea Tide" room today, and the handsome waiter led us to the private room, which was large and spacious. It could definitely accommodate a family or business dinner for more than a dozen people, and the atmosphere was great. Dishes: 1. Steamed Grouper: We ordered a large portion of the "king of groupers," the giant grouper. The fish was neatly sliced and placed on top of tender tofu, which enhanced the flavor and made it look great, as if the fish was swimming in the lake. 🌸Abalone Braised Pig's Feet This is a classic dish from old Shanghai. The pig's feet are so tender that they melt in your mouth, and the abalone is delicious and nourishing. The caramel brown color is really appetizing, and the pig's feet are so tender that they fall off the bone. I never knew eating pig's feet could be so elegant, and it cured my summer anorexia, hehe. 🌸Eel in Hot Oil This is also a classic Shanghai dish. I remember watching "The Story of Rose" and Rose's favorite dish was also eel in hot oil. The thick eel is paired with a rich sauce and lots of pepper, which not only makes it rich in flavor, but also makes it unforgettable. 🌸Lotus Root from Matang Lake This is a summer lotus feast that you won't find anywhere else. When the waiter brought it in, it was so beautiful that it looked like a work of art. The lotus root is crisp and refreshing, and when dipped in the passion fruit sauce, it's sweet and sour, very summery and refreshing, and a beautiful and delicious dish. A good restaurant is hard to find, and if it wasn't in a hotel, it would have been a must-visit for tourists to Shanghai. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves Shanghai cuisine.
