Shangri-La truly has everything. When I went to the Songtsam Linka Hotel for lunch, I was immediately drawn to the French bakery on the left as I entered the Tibetan-style courtyard of the Chinese restaurant. The entire baking area was visually striking with its golden bread displays. The next morning, I had to leave for a hike at Abuji Lake at 7:30, but the breakfast at the guesthouse started at 8:00, so I bought a rose maple European bread for breakfast. The shop assistant said that Songtsam's bakery has nearly ten branches in Yunnan, including one in the provincial capital, Kunming. I must say, the taste was authentic, and the prices were comparable to those in prime locations in first-tier cities.
