[Jesse on the Road] From Cizhong to Shangri-La

Happy days always pass quickly. On the last day of this Songtsam trip, I was supposed to take an afternoon flight from Diqing Airport to Shanghai. The night before, I received a text message from the airline saying that the flight was delayed to 19:15 due to weather conditions. I was actually very happy because I had another chance to see Meili Snow Mountain and enjoy a leisurely lunch at Songtsam Meili. Everything was arranged perfectly. Cizhong Church 💒: More than 100 years ago, French missionaries came here. In addition to planting grapes, they left behind a rose honey variety that is almost extinct in Europe and built this Catholic church ✝️. The whole village feels particularly peaceful and harmonious, and there are children's songs playing in the background. Wunongding Viewing Platform 🏔️: It takes 1.5 hours to drive from Cizhong. It is said that this is the best season to see Meili Snow Mountain. When we arrived at noon, Kawagebo was clearly visible in front of me. I was full of awe and felt so lucky and touched. I was so happy. Songtsam Meili + Bird Store: This Bird Store seems to be newly opened. It wasn't there when I stayed at Songtsam last year. I took a stroll, ate some rice noodles, and continued on my way. The First Bend of the Yangtze River: I had a cup of coffee and took some photos before heading to the airport. Songtsam VIP Lounge at Shangri-La Airport: On the way, I was telling my best friend that the China Eastern Airlines VIP Lounge at Diqing Airport was a bit disappointing. Haha, Songtsam made up for it. There is also a separate security check channel, so you don't have to wait in line. I have to give it a thumbs up.
