The Five Mazu Statues of Da De in Haifeng County

Shanwei region has an extremely rich Mazu belief culture. Few people know that Mazu has five incarnations (perhaps unique to this area? It's my first time knowing this as well). They are: the First Mazu Lin Mo Niang, the Second Mazu Zheng Zu Xi, the Third Mazu Zhuang Jing Yun, the Fourth Mazu Lin Shu Xian, and the Fifth Mazu Mo Mei. The Da De Mazu Temple in Haifeng County is the only temple in the world that enshrines the 'Five Mazu' statues. The Five Mazu statues on the mountain top are 24.88 meters high, made of 999 pieces of granite. The mountain is not high, but the view from the top is excellent, offering a 360-degree panoramic view of the eastern Guangdong scenery, which is breathtaking. The landscape includes mountains, lakes, wetlands, plains, countryside, and the vast Pacific Ocean. It can be said that such coastal scenery is rare in domestic tourist areas (it's my first time seeing it). (Actually, it's not a tourist area, and there's no entrance fee). This place is very niche, with few tourists, mainly locals. The steps to the top are quite strenuous, and many people might be deterred, especially under the scorching summer sun. It's not convenient to get here, as it's in a remote countryside area. It's recommended to drive yourself, rent a car, or hire a car.
