The treasure of the Shenyang Museum, silent years, a thousand years of gaze...

🎞️ Shenyang's origins, the most eye-catching exhibit is the Liao Dynasty gold mask, which is also the treasure of the Shenyang Museum. It has traveled through thousands of years of time and space, brushed off the dust and sand, and presented itself to the world with a fresh face. (Figure 5) 🎭​ The mask was unearthed from the Liao tomb group in Zhangjiayao Forest Farm, Kangping. When it was discovered, it was deeply buried in the soil and was upside down on the head of the tomb owner. After further cleaning and washing in the laboratory, the mask revealed a unique luster, showing a dazzling golden color. Through the use of high-precision instruments for professional testing, the results showed that the gold content of the mask was as high as about 85%. In the distant Liao Dynasty, it was not easy to forge such a beautiful gold mask. 🏛️​ Today, this Liao Dynasty gold mask is on display in the Shenyang Museum, attracting a steady stream of visitors to stop and watch. The years are silent, and the gaze of a thousand years, the closed eyes, seem to hide the secrets of a thousand years, waiting for the interpretation of those who are interested; the slender eyebrows and eyes, gently raised, reveal a kind of tranquility that transcends the world; the beard and eyelashes, each one is clearly visible, showing the craftsman's hard work and wisdom, carving out the breath of life with every stitch.
