The opening of the Xiwan Mangrove Park has ushered in the 'sea-friendly' era of Bao'an

On December 30, 2014, the construction project of Shenzhen Bao'an Xiwan Mangrove Wetland Park (Phase I) located at the intersection of Jinwan Avenue and Xihai Dike started. The park was opened on August 26, 2015. The park (Phase I) is laid out along the Xihai Dike, with a length of about 705 meters and an area of about 93,000 square meters, of which the land area is about 33,000 square meters and the sea area is about 60,000 square meters. There are 3 sea-viewing walkways, 4 sea-entry steps, 2 viewing walkways, 19,300 square meters of greening, and 123 parking spaces. The park (Phase I) has a total of 16 scenic spots. The design of Xiwan Mangrove Park emphasizes natural ecology and leisure entertainment, pays attention to Lingnan style and coastal elements, has a 7.5-kilometer greenway main loop, and a 32-hectare wetland park. As an important strategic node on the 45-kilometer golden coastline, Xiwan Mangrove Park has ushered in the 'sea-friendly' era of Bao'an.
