A 3-day, 2-night self-driving tour to Dapeng Ancient City and Jiediaosha in Nan'ao, Shenzhen 🌈🌈hello, it's essential to take the kids to the seaside for a vacation during their summer break~ Planning a short 3-day, 2-night trip to the Shenzhen coast🏝🏝 🌈🌈On the first day, a weekday, we set off from Dongguan at 11 am and drove to Nan'ao, Shenzhen. It took just 2 hours to reach the homestay where we were staying. More than a decade ago, I visited Nan'ao, and back then, it was all village paths, but now there are spacious roads. It was our first stay at 'Shanye Homestay,' and we were very satisfied with the overall environment, services, and facilities. Plus, we got a free upgrade to a suite, complete with a fruit plate and a goodnight dessert soup. Perhaps because it was a weekday and there were fewer people, we had the entire swimming pool to ourselves. The homestay is surrounded by many longan and lychee trees, and it's currently the season for longan harvest, so guests can pick them for free. There's a restaurant in the homestay, so if you don't want to go out, you can choose to dine there. For dinner, we went to the nearby Nan'ao Seafood Street, which had reasonable group purchase prices online. The only downside of the homestay is that it's a distance from Nan'ao Beach; it takes about 5 minutes to drive there. 🌈🌈On the second day, after breakfast at the homestay and a leisurely stay until 12 pm check-out, we went to a nearby tea restaurant for lunch and then set off for 'Dapeng Ancient City.' It takes about half an hour to drive from Nan'ao to Dapeng Ancient City, which is in the same area as Jiaochangwei. We've been there several times before and stayed in homestays in Jiaochangwei, which is close to the beach. But this time, we chose to stay inside Dapeng Ancient City. We booked 'Luting Boutique Inn,' which is very close to the parking lot and right next to the ancient city (East Gate). The room we booked had a large terrace, and although the decor was a bit dated, it was clean and tidy. What we loved most was the mahjong table on the terrace. It's about a fifteen-minute walk from the ancient city to Jiaochangwei Beach, but since we've been to Jiaochangwei Beach several times, we decided to drive to the relatively distant 'Jiediaosha.' It took nearly 30 minutes to drive from the ancient city, and the sand at Jiediaosha is very fine, with clearer water quality than Jiaochangwei Beach. Plus, many people were engaging in water sports on the beach. After playing on the beach, we returned to the inn for dinner and chose a small noodle shop in the ancient city, followed by a leisurely stroll through the night market. 🌈🌈On the third day, the ancient city in the morning showed another side. After breakfast, we leisurely walked through the entire ancient city, concluding our relaxing 3-day, 2-night seaside trip🔚. Tips🔔 1⃣️Since we went on a weekday, there was no need to reserve a vehicle. If you plan to visit Dapeng Peninsula in Shenzhen on weekends or public holidays, you should make a reservation in advance, and you can follow 'Shenzhen Local Treasure.' 2⃣️Nan'ao Beach control time is 9:00-18:00 3⃣️Jiediaosha Beach control time is 9:00-18:00 (The beach is free, no reservation required) 4⃣️Jiaochangwei Beach has no time control 5⃣️There are restaurants everywhere in Dapeng Ancient City and Jiaochangwei 6⃣️If you're bringing children, regardless of which beach you choose, it's recommended to stay in a homestay close to the beach for convenience in washing up.
