Shenzhen | A hidden oasis in the bustling city, perfect for hiking and cycling.

The Dasha River Ecological Corridor, known as the "Seine River" of Shenzhen, has a total length of 13.7 km and is divided into three unique themed sections. This time, we will explore the Urban Forest Section, located in the middle of the Dasha River Ecological Corridor Greenway. 🌳Unique charm of the Greenway: Firstly, compared to the colorful flower landscape in the upstream area, the middle section has denser tall trees and a wider river. Secondly, the cycling path has fewer steep slopes (especially on the section between 📍Beihuan Avenue and Shahe Flyover), making it friendly for beginners and children. Thirdly, there are various leisure facilities, including an aerial walkway, eco-friendly tea room, and visitor center, allowing for a perfect blend of fitness and leisure. Fourthly, it cleverly connects Jiuxiangling Community Park (where Thai cherry blossoms 🌸 bloom in spring), Jiuxiangling Wetland Park, Tanglangshan Park, and Dasha River Park, allowing you to change your route according to your mood. Fifthly, as night falls, the neon lights illuminate the river, offering a mesmerizing view of the Hi-tech Park area. 🌳Entrance and exit details: I chose to enter the Greenway from Exit C of 🚇Line 7 "Chaguang Station" and return from Exit A of 🚇Line 1 "Hi-tech Park Station". I cycled a round trip, covering approximately 15 km. ✔️Upstream Section - Academy Path 🚇Metro: Exit C of Line 5 "Tanglang Station", walk 957 meters (entrance next to "Fuguang Fire Station") ✨Highlights: The Greenway runs straight through the campuses of Southern University of Science and Technology, Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School, and Tsinghua University International Graduate School. In spring, the rhododendrons bloom beautifully. ✔️Downstream Section - Dynamic Reservoir 🚇Metro: Exit A/D of Line 1 "Hi-tech Park Station", walk 300 meters ✨Highlights: Stretching from the Dasha River to Shenzhen Bay, the wide river occasionally hosts exciting water activities such as kayaking and dragon boat racing. On sunny days, you can also enjoy a stunning sunset over the sea. 🚫Friendly reminder: 1. Pets are not allowed in the Dasha River Ecological Corridor. 2. The park has abundant aquatic plants. Please take measures to prevent mosquito bites. 3. Bicycles are prohibited on weekends and public holidays.
