Yuntai Mountain is located in the northern part of Shibing County and is a karst landform of Baiyunyan, 13 kilometers away from the county. Yuntai Mountain Scenic Area is a major part of Wuyang River National Scenic Area, consisting of Yuntai Mountain, Waiyingtai, Jiaoding Mountain and Datian Nao and other peaks. Yuntai Mountain covers an area of about 210 square kilometers. The main peak, Tuanlunyan, is 1,066 meters above sea level and stands out among the mountains. Because the mountain is "four sides are cut, and it stands out from the clouds," the top of the mountain is like a platform, and it is surrounded by clouds and fog, hence the name Yuntai Mountain. On June 23, 2014, the 38th World Heritage Committee meeting held in Doha, Qatar, reviewed and passed the application for the second phase of the World Natural Heritage of South China represented by Yuntai Mountain in Shibing, Guizhou, and Yuntai Mountain became the third World Natural Heritage in Guizhou Province. Yuntai Mountain is characterized by primitive natural ecology, celestial wonders, beautiful peaks and waters, Buddhist sites, Taoist temples and other natural and cultural landscapes. It covers an area of 47 square kilometers. It is divided into two major tourist areas, Yuntai Mountain and Paiyun Pass, with 24 planned scenic spots, nearly 400 kinds of rare plants in the mountains, and nearly 100 kinds of precious animals. It is known as the "plant treasure basin, animal treasure house" and is a treasure land for exploring the eastern line of Guizhou. When tourists are on the top of the mountain and look far away, the mountains are surrounded by clouds, like a white dragon rolling, strange peaks stand tall and strange stones are exposed, deep valleys and forests are ancient vines, mountain monkeys climb and birds sing, the morning light shines through the pine forest, the light column is spotted, the mountain flowers emit bursts of fragrance, the thrush jumps on the branches and sings loudly, the ancient pine is tall and straight, and the mountain wind blows, forming a tempting landscape picture, which is praised by poets as "birds in the mountains".
