The first international brand in Shigatse, Tibet - Shigatse Hilton opens its doors!

After five years of renovation and upgrading on the site of the landmark Shigatse Hotel, the Hilton Shigatse Hotel officially opens, welcoming the first international brand hotel to the 'Home of Mount Everest'. The hotel is located in the central urban area of Shigatse, only 2 kilometers away from Tashilhunpo Monastery, and 50 kilometers from Shigatse Peace Airport. Shigatse is an essential route to the Everest Base Camp, which is about 300 kilometers away. The architectural facade is designed with the Tibetan characteristics of white and red, using unique Tibetan door decorations, eaves decorations, etc., abstractly reflecting Tibetan aesthetics. From a distance, it looks like a 'castle' rising from the plateau. The overall architecture presents a 'Hui' shaped enclosure, creating a private inner courtyard. The courtyard landscape, combined with the arrangement of the roof and the covered walkway, creates a rich and varied spatial hierarchy, giving the building a distinctive personality. Inside the building, the designers have retained the lobby and banquet hall structure of the old Shigatse Hotel, as well as the design of the ceiling caissons, allowing beautiful memories to continue.
