The striking colors of Tashilhunpo Monastery.

Tashilhunpo Monastery, meaning "Auspicious Sumeru Monastery" in Tibetan, is located at the foot of Mount Niseri in Shigatse, Tibet. It was first built in 1447 and has been expanded and renovated many times since. The monastery covers an area of 150,000 square meters and has 57 monk houses and 3,600 halls and rooms. The architecture combines traditional Tibetan architectural features with Buddhist characteristics, showcasing the Buddhist art of Tibetan Buddhism and the solemnity of the Panchen Lama's stupa. Unlike other temples, Tashilhunpo Monastery is built at the foot of Mount Niseri in Shigatse, with long red palace walls surrounding the mountain. This layout gives it a unique visual effect and architectural layering. Tashilhunpo Monastery is characterized by its striking colors, with red and white as the main colors. The red walls are eye-catching and mysterious, standing out against the blue sky and white clouds.
