Magnificent Erawan National Park

The magnificent seven-tiered Erawan Falls are the major attraction of the jungly Erawan National Park, which provides a relaxing antithesis to some of Kanchanaburi's emotionally charged historical attractions. In a beautiful location surrounded by rich flora and limestone mountains, the water pours down the mountains. The blue pools are a beautiful site for a cool swim on a hot day, and a scenic hiking track goes up to the top of the falls (watch out for thieving monkeys along the way). If you put your feet in the water, you might notice fish nibbling at your toes. Elephants, gibbons, and king cobras are among the numerous animals to be found in the national park.
