The old InterContinental Singapore, a part of Singapore's history!

There are two InterContinental hotels in Singapore. 🔸The new InterContinental is near Clarke Quay. It was originally going to be a Holiday Inn, so the rooms are small, there are no bathtubs, and the pool is small. 🔸The old InterContinental is in Bugis, near Bugis Junction. 📍The hotel is about a 20-minute walk from the Sultan Mosque, St. Andrew's Cathedral, and Little India. Some hotels are old and run-down. The InterContinental Singapore, however, is a 💥heritage building that has been renovated. The older it is, the more character it has. The executive lounge is very photogenic. . Although the ambassador didn't upgrade us to a suite, we were satisfied with the 🏙️high floor and great view. We could see the Durian, Marina Bay, and Marina Bay Sands. ❌The room was quite old and the bathtub was small. The hot water wasn't hot enough. ✅But the service was really great. We arrived at the airport at 6 a.m. and got to the hotel at 9 a.m. The hotel let us check in early and even gave us an extra breakfast in the lounge. 🍰The lounge serves a semi-buffet breakfast. There's a Chinese menu and a different local snack every day, like rice cakes and laksa. Afternoon tea is served from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. There are 3 tiers of cakes. I don't like chocolate, so I thought it was just okay. 🍸In the evening, there's a 3-tier snack set. The 💥Singapore Sling was supposedly created at this InterContinental. You should definitely try it. It doesn't taste very strong and has an extra layer of foam. 🌊The gym and pool are on the 4th floor. There's a large pool and two small wading pools. You can see part of Marina Bay Sands.
