The most comprehensive exhibition of Chinese pagodas in history, not to be missed.

First of all, this batch of pagoda models was actually exhibited in the Chinese Pavilion at the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in San Francisco, USA, in 1915. In other words, what we are seeing is an exhibition from a century ago. Missing it means missing a hundred years, which is amazing to think about. 📷📷📷📷 109 years ago, the craftsmen of the Tushanwan Orphanage in Shanghai were commissioned to make 84 of the most representative Chinese pagodas, strictly reduced and reproduced in a 1:50 scale, including the famous Nanjing Porcelain Tower, Longhua Pagoda in Shanghai, Giant Wild Goose Pagoda in Xi'an, Huata Pagoda in Zhengding, and Qianxun Pagoda in Dali. This allowed 18 million visitors in San Francisco to experience the charm of Chinese architecture for the first time. 📷📷📷📷 Then this batch of pagodas was forgotten until 2024, when the 84 pagodas crossed the ocean again to the Asian Civilisations Museum in Singapore. This is also the first time since the 1915 International Exposition that this batch of pagodas has been reunited and exhibited, making it a century-old exhibition that is really worth seeing!
