Historical significance of Amoy Street

Address - Amoy Street, Chinatown Amoy Street is located within Chinatown, where it was named as such likely due to the many immigrants from Amoy who settled here back in the day. It was known for being a street full of opium smoking dens. Now, many of these shophouses have been conserved, with their facades retaining the original elements and features. In present day Singapore, this street is famous for its eclectic restaurants, bars and cafes, as well as its massive wall murals.
