Luxurious Room with Breathtaking Views

To celebrate my wife’s birthday, booked a stay in Fairmont Singapore’s Fairmont Gold Harbour View room. I have to say that it was worth every penny spent. One day before check in, I made arrangements with the hotel to place my wife’s birthday present and card in our assigned room so as to surprise her and they acceded to the request. They also allowed us to check in at 10am! So, the great service and experience started from there. Check in was in the Fairmont Gold lounge located on the 25th floor. I stayed in room 2337, located in the newly renovated south tower and it was a lovely room. The room was huge, at 45 square metres. The bed faces the Harbour so my wife and I spent a lot of time on the bed watching the view. One thing to note is that the blinds automatically open when we enter the door from outside. It was initially a little disconcerting but we got used to it and loved this feature eventually. The TV was a huge 55 inch tv which allowed seamless casting to both iPhone and android phones alike. the tv could be swivelled so one can watch it in tv or while lazing on the sofa. A complimentary box of chocolates were provided, as well as a rich chocolate cake for my wife’s birthday! The room also had a huge console that hides the fridge, filtered hot/cold water dispenser and the likes. Do note that the water dispenser boils water after hot water has been dispensed so it can get quite loud. The bathroom was lovely as well, with the highlight being the deep soak bathtub. Turn down service was provided and my wife and I were pleasantly surprised to receive a handwritten card by housekeeping, wishing my wife a happy birthday, as well as towel folded swans. The night view out of the room was splendid as well. The balcony was big and I spent quite a bit of time taking in the night scenery as well as the dawn scenery from the balcony. Given the excellent room and service, the Fairmont Hotel is definitely a #muststay #staycation
