The Long Forgotten Bukit Batok Hillside

Many tourists come to Singapore for Marina Bay Sand, Sentosa, orchard Road and food which can be quite heavy on the wallet. Why not head to the many trails that Singapore has, not the mainstream ones like macritchie or bukit timah Hill but instead to the long forgotten once like the bukit batok hillside Park located near bukit gombak mrt at 1 Bukit Batok West Ave 2. This place is an abandoned park where there are trials for you to hike up a hill and you will be able to see the famous and most talked about torii gates, especially for those who wants a hint of Japan. I am assuming these were once occupied by the Japanese during the war in singapore back in 1942, there are also remains of a rusted broken down gun and also a broken down hut.
