One of the most beautiful towns in California - Solvang, the Danish town, is about a two-hour drive from Los Angeles. Driving on Highway 1 in California, most people will visit this town that the Danes all admire, to see windmills, ride in horse-drawn carriages, eat sweets, and bask in the sunshine. The houses here are all typical Danish style, from red grids, green roofs, white walls, blue covers, to old-fashioned Danish windmills and Nordic churches. Coming here is like coming to the Danes' hometown.
