Kim Tae-hong, a one-table restaurant that is fully booked for up to 23 years.

Start with fresh uni and cuttlefish.
The aroma of fragrant steamed scallops is also very nice.

Signature menu angel hair pasta is made with fish roe and caviar.
It was even more delicious after upgrading.

Lasagna, which I think is the best in Korea
It made me think about coming here again for the rest of my life.

Hibi is the business of mat_thagoras, who runs the lamb Genghis Khan restaurant Yasunoya and Yasunoya Jiro.

This restaurant is introducing a new noodle dish genre called 'Soup Curry Noodle' by developing the Sapporo-style soup curry that was enjoyed as a side menu at Yasunoya.

Of course, it has a rich and rich soup curry taste.
The rye flavor of the noodles made from rye, which was first tried in Korea, at Hanamokoshi is harmonious with the firmness in the mouth.

Toppings such as lamb sirloin and large intestines enhance the taste of the soup curry.

The point is to put the vegetables and skewers to one side and eat the noodles and soup first.
There are two different soup bases: the regular one is a lighter soup and has haejanggak (haejanggak). The play is based on 100% Tori Paitan broth, and is literally Boyang-gak, which seems to be 10 times more condensed than regular Samgyetang broth.

Lastly, if you eat it with lemon cheese rice, you have a very happy meal.

Passion is also great

Another cafe that has been invested very carefully in many aspects has just appeared in the city center, Anh Roastery. Most people (including me) are fascinated by the extremely outstanding and new design. However, after sitting at the restaurant, I pondered the question: Is it worth a 75k cup of Latte?

I don't deny it, but I really like Anh Roastery's design style. The architecture inspired by the brick kiln is an impressive design that I have never seen in many cafes in Saigon. In addition, the large premises also help the shop have spacious space, looking very prominent on Pasteur Street. However, I found the interior a bit disjointed. The roasting machine looks good but is placed in an inelegant place, and I don't know if the white strip spread across the middle of the shop is a table or chair. In return, I think the addition of green trees helps the space inside the shop look fresh and does not have the feeling of being stewed like a real brick kiln.

The shop has three areas: courtyard, inside, and upstairs. The outdoor area has a main brick design, full sockets and a weather umbrella, very chill for smokers. The inside area is as I mentioned above: beautiful, airy, bright but a bit discrete. The upstairs area is a non-air-conditioned outdoor area, also an area with many consistent trees but not as chill as the other two areas.

It's called "Roastery" but the restaurant also has an à la carte menu (steak, pasta, etc). The menu is generally high priced and has many drink options. My cup of Latte is standard in appearance and flavor, but 75k seems a bit high. And did I mention 10% VAT? Oh yes, 75k does not include VAT (it's written in the menu).

Saigon cafe people often joke that "going through District 2 and not stopping by Aramour is a waste of gas". And this District 2 tour is also an opportunity for me to visit one of the famous cafes in Thao Dien area. Perhaps for me, Aramour is quite similar to Every Half in terms of relaxing coffee experience.

Aramour is famous for its signature white facade and appears on Instagram quite a lot. The space inside the restaurant has a harmonious blend of minimalism and antiquity, creating a calm and quiet atmosphere when sitting. In particular, I like the arrangement of green trees, flowers and vines, which help make the space fresher and match the white tone of the restaurant. Aramour has two areas: ground floor and upstairs, with an air-conditioned upstairs area for teams that need to work a little quieter (because the outdoor ground area has quite a few smokers).

Because it is a specialty cafe, Aramour offers many coffee dishes as well as some tea and food. My Americano (50k) is quite good, and is very thoughtfully served on a wooden tray with filtered water. The shop also uses paper cups and paper straws for take away, which is always a plus for me.

When coming to Aramour, please park your car in the parking lot 5 meters from the shop, absolutely free of charge.

Aramour Coffee Roasters

Previously located in a simple house in District 3, Whatever Cafe has now moved to a new location with a new design that I think is much better than the old branch. Looks like District 2 team has another reasonable coffee option.

Whatever Cafe has a ground floor and a first floor. Although the rented space is still a house, thanks to the slightly more refined orange tone design, the shop looks sharper and not as awkward as a house (this is also a minus point of the old branch). The interior seems to be geared towards the experience at the shop, so sitting and working is quite okay. The shop uses white lights - this detail is sure to please many people. The minus point I see is probably that the round table and skylight is located upstairs. The reason is because if there is noise upstairs, everyone on the ground floor can hear it all, so each person's experience may be different depending on the time.

Whatever specializes in coffee, and the menu I ordered is in the last pic. I ordered a portion of Affogato (55k). In general, this dish is just for fun to photograph and not to drink. Go to the shop and order Cold Brew, Latte, tea or some special dishes for value for money. The shop serves paper straws, plus point.

When coming to Whatever Cafe, people park their cars in the parking lot (small vacant lot) opposite the shop so there's no fee, there's a security guard there.

Whatever Cafe

the_openspace is always on my list of must-visit work cafes. Recently I had the opportunity to try The Open Space An Phu branch, and I was impressed by the architecture and experience here.

The first thing I like about TOS An Phu is the minimalist industrial design that brings a modern coffee - meeting space. Symmetrical and eye-catching geometric diagonal lines appearing on the interior, stairs and rooftop are the highlight of TOS An Phu overall. The staircase area is also specially designed to create unique sunlight streaks, both beautifying the restaurant space and creating a very beautiful photo angle.

Another plus point at TOS An Phu is that each activity area is arranged on a separate floor, not cluttered. The ground floor (picture 4) is a workspace with a long table, moderate lighting, and a pretty bookshelf. The 1st floor (picture 5) is the Baking Class baking area (opening in February). The 2nd floor (picture 6) is the Event Space area with an extremely airy terrace balcony. Each area is arranged separately, making the experience of each area more private and comfortable.

The Open Space serves different coffee and tea dishes. I tried Strawberry Tea (60k) and Milk Coffee (45k). Strawberry Tea has a light taste, fragrant strawberry scent, not too sweet and is very suitable for caffeine-free teams. And of course, coffeeholic people will find Milk Coffee suitable for their caffeine needs during the day.

The Open Space An Phu has its own basement parking, and of course there is no charge.

Those who have a sweet tooth and like unique cakes cannot help but know about 𝗜𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗿𝗲. I also practice making a few types of cakes, but 𝗜𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗿𝗲's homemade cakes are on a completely different level.

The cakes are not only pretty and make you want to eat them right away, but they are also strangely delicious. I really love 𝘾𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙚 𝘽𝙧𝙪𝙡𝙚𝙚 𝙈𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚 𝘾𝙧𝙚𝙥𝙚 here, it melts in your mouth, there's no way to make it the same. Fruit-shaped cakes look just like real fruit, how can this be so funny?

𝗜𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗿𝗲 has up to 3 floors but few seats, the ground floor is a sparkling cake counter with 3 chairs to sit watching the street right at the glass door, the 2nd floor is used for making cakes, the 3rd floor accommodates a maximum of about 15 people. Therefore, eating 𝗜𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗿𝗲's cakes is also very difficult: sometimes there is no cake, sometimes there is no room.

The minus point of 𝗜𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗿𝗲 is the cake price, probably the most expensive in Saigon. But it's delicious so I only visit once every once in a while to satisfy my sweet cravings. If you want to have a good experience here, you should go early when the restaurant opens or book a table in advance.

𝗜𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗿𝗲

𝗗𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗲 - a miniature tropical garden that appeared in District 2 not long ago has become a hot name in these hot summer days.

𝗗𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 has a super large outdoor space with the centerpiece being a winding koi pond and a cool green oasis. Arched or circular doorways are placed around the garden, allowing fish and plants to be seen wherever you sit. The simple white wall tone becomes the perfect background for the green and floral colors. 𝗗𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱's indoor space is quite limited and often fills up very quickly during these scorching hot days.

The big minus point is that the restaurant is very...siu...siu crowded. The photo I took was at 8am so it looked so deserted, but after that it was filled with people and there was no way to walk. There are very nice shops, everything is nothing to complain about, but you can't feel the vibe there, like "we don't belong together". And 𝗗𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 is such a shop for me. Go find out, that's all. Come back, sigh!!!

𝗗𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗲

𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗳𝗲 surprises when it brings a space that is typical of Saigon - Gia Dinh even though it is located quite far from the center of Saigon. A 3-storey building with brilliant yellow-green tones, 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗳𝗲 stands out on a corner of Nguyen Kiem street, near Nguyen Thai Son roundabout.

Designed in standard Indochina style, everything at 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗳𝗲 reminds of a Saigon a few decades ago. From logos, signs, tile floors to tables and chairs, decorative motifs and miniatures, all are invested selectively and delicately.

I like the paintings of girls here, they look simple but contribute to creating a nostalgic atmosphere. The royal dragon and phoenix ao dai is the highlight on the first floor, but the display is quite dignified, museum-style, personally I don't feel comfortable sitting in the check-in chair in this corner.

The balcony on the first floor is really cool with a view of the overpass. Combined with a cute sign and classic outfit, you will have a unique camera angle, very Saigon.

The drink menu is quite diverse from coffee to fruit teas, milk teas, sodas, and juices. However, the shop uses paper cups when I drink at the shop. If I request a glass cup, the shop also has it available. My cup of iced milk coffee tastes ok, not too special.

𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗳𝗲

𝗖𝗼𝗰𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗲 & 𝗞𝗶𝗱𝘀 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 - A cafe model combined with a fun area Quite interesting play for children, just opened 1 month ago on Le Van Sy Street, Tan Binh District.

The restaurant's massive 3-storey building stands out in a small alley with its classic European facade architecture. The ground floor is luxuriously designed with vintage yellow-green tones, creating a genuine virtual living cafe space. The corner of the porcelain tree in front of the house on the shop's facade looks like it's in the West. Sitting here sipping coffee, enjoying the breeze and watching the sun is also very enjoyable.

The 2nd & 3rd floors are children's play spaces, suitable for families with young children, parents can comfortably enjoy coffee while watching their children or playing with them. Note that the restaurant charges a fee for this service (see last page of the menu)

The shop's menu is quite rich, from traditional coffee, machine brew, cold brew to fruit teas, milk teas, soda and chocolate. My cup of 𝙃𝙖𝙯𝙚𝙣𝙪𝙩 𝙇𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙚 is delicious but a bit sweet, and 𝘾𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙪𝙘𝙞𝙣𝙤 tastes ok, if the shop draws a little better picture it would be perfect.
