A one-day sprint through St. Louis!

My best tip for St. Louis: the best view of the skyline isn’t at the top of the arch. Don’t get me wrong, the arch experience is cool, but it’s expensive, short, and the window is tiny. I’d recommend going to the Mississippi River Overlook in Malcolm W. Martin Memorial Park instead, for free! It’s only a 10 minute walk from East Riverfront Station and its wheelchair #accessible. While the winding ramps do take a little bit to climb up, it’s worth it for the best view of St. Louis. If you are planning on driving there, be warned you might get stuck waiting at one of many rail crossings nearby like me. Other sites worth visiting if you only have one day (like I did) include the Grand Basin in Forest Park, the City and Gateway museums, and Busch Stadium. If you’re an adventurous eater, I’d try Imo’s Pizza who uses the STL delicacy of Provel cheese. It tastes much better than it looks in my opinion, but it’s not for everyone. Otherwise, St. Louis style ribs and frozen custard are safer local delicacies. #mytravelhacks
