Suifenhe National Gate Scenic Area

The Suifenhe National Gate Scenic Area has the first, second, and third generation national gates, showcasing the development of the country's economic strength. The scenic area features images of the 'Friendship and Peace Angel Galya Monument' and the Galya Bakery, with touching stories behind them. To commemorate the Chinese-Russian mixed-race girl Galya, who was brutally murdered while persuading the invading Japanese army to surrender at the Tianchangshan Fortress, Suifenhe citizen Sun Boyan, with the support of the Suifenhe Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, presided over the construction of this large sculpture. Russian President Putin inscribed on the monument: 'The friendship between Russia and China is mutual understanding, trust, common values, and interests. We will remember the past and look to the future. May the friendship between China and Russia last forever, and may the world always be at peace!'
