A Journey Through Time at the Discovery Center of Taipei

The Discovery Center of Taipei, located within the City Hall building, presents a blend of modernity and simplicity at first glance. Upon entering, it feels as though you've opened the door to a time machine. The exhibition halls, layer by layer, narrate the history, culture, and urban development of Taipei, telling the story of the city's past and future. In the 'Time Tunnel,' with the interplay of light and shadow, I felt as if I was transported to early Taipei. Ancient streets and red brick buildings emerged one by one, and I could almost hear the cries of street vendors and the sound of wheels. Stepping into the city model area, the panoramic miniature of Taipei was astonishing, with its high-rise buildings and winding rivers painting a picture of coexistence between prosperity and nature. The interactive zone on the second floor is particularly captivating. Through touch screens and multimedia displays, I gained an in-depth understanding of Taipei's ecological planning and future vision. The entire Discovery Center is not just a museum but a living diary of the city, meticulously depicting the lifeline of Taipei.
