Tallinn: A Fairytale City for All Seasons

Tallinn is the capital of Estonia and the country's political, economic, cultural, and transportation center. In 1997, the Old Town of Tallinn was listed as a World Cultural Heritage Site by UNESCO. Known as a fairytale city, the Old Town is a well-preserved medieval town divided into the Upper Town and Lower Town, each with its own unique charm. Upper Town Attractions 1️⃣ Alexander Nevsky Cathedral A representative of the Orthodox Church and a symbol of Tsarist Russia, the exterior is extremely bright and gorgeous, and the interior features a mosaic mural that is not to be missed. 2️⃣ St. Mary's Cathedral The oldest church in Estonia, it was the only building on Cathedral Hill to survive the great fire of the 17th century. The coats of arms of Tallinn's noble families that decorate the walls of the church are a model of taste. 3️⃣ The Upper Town has several viewing platforms that are not to be missed. Each has its own unique charm, and the views are beautiful from all of them. Lower Town Attractions 1️⃣ St. Catherine's Passage The most beautiful alley in Tallinn, with a variety of shops, cafes, dessert shops, pubs, and souvenir centers. There is always something to keep you lingering. 2️⃣ Town Hall Square The central square of the Old Town is bustling all year round, especially during the Christmas season. The lights and snow create a fairytale world.
