Tawau Town in Malaysia is often seen as a transit point to Semporna, causing many to overlook its inherent beauty. However, this place is less crowded with tourists, offering a more relaxed atmosphere. The sunsets by the sea in Tawau are particularly beautiful. This time, before heading to Semporna, I decided to stay a night in Tawau Town to experience the stunning sunset views by the sea. In the city center, there's a seaside viewing park called Traulsen Recreation Park, which is the best spot to watch the sunset. Next to the park, there's a night market with affordable and delicious seafood stalls offering fresh ingredients. After enjoying the sunset, you can have dinner at the night market. Here, there are no crowded tourists or overly commercialized hustle and bustle, just a blend of human warmth and natural beauty, providing a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle. Transportation: You can walk to the park if you stay in the city center. Tawau is a small city, just navigate to 'Traulsen Recreation Park.' The park has no entrance fee.
