Tianshui Fuxi Temple Guide (3)

The last main hall of Tianshui Fuxi Temple is the 'Taiji Hall', which is the sleeping palace of Fuxi. In the middle is a seated statue of Fuxi, draped in a yellow robe, with thick eyebrows and round eyes. On the walls on both sides hang fourteen banners, each introducing the fourteen kinds of livelihood, humanities, and other production and living skills and rules created by Fuxi. These are the starting points of Chinese civilization and important symbols of the transition from primitive living to more advanced agricultural practices. The decoration of Taiji Hall is very luxurious, with exceptionally exquisite carvings on the wooden lattice of the doors and windows. On the left and right sides, there is a dragon and a phoenix respectively, symbolizing 'prosperity and harmony'. The overall architecture is also extremely grand and elegant. In the courtyard outside the hall, there are ancient cypresses everywhere, all of which are thousand-year-old trees with unique shapes, ancient and vigorous.
