Echigo-Tsumari Art Field Official Accommodation: Sansho House

This wooden house was originally a school built in 1958. It has been preserved by the villagers and can still withstand heavy snow. Now, six classrooms have been renovated into guest rooms. There are four rooms for 16 people and two rooms for 8 people, which can accommodate a total of 80 people. All rooms are bunk beds and are separated by gender. Guests can chat and share in this shared space, and they can go to the outdoor terrace to cool off in summer. In addition, you can also enjoy the work "Lost Winter" by artist Leandro Erlich and experience Matsunoyama Onsen, one of the three major medicinal hot springs in Japan.
