Stepping into the University of Tokyo

During this free trip to Japan, I also had the opportunity to visit the famous University of Tokyo. I walked there from Ueno Park, which took about 40 minutes. When I came back, I found that the subway station was not far from the main gate of the university. The University of Tokyo is located in Bunkyo, Tokyo, specifically in the northwest of Ueno Park. The University of Tokyo was born in 1877, formed by the merger and reorganization of 'Tokyo Kaicheng School' and 'Tokyo Medical School' during the Meiji Restoration. It is the first national comprehensive university in Japan and currently ranks first in Japanese universities. The campus of the University of Tokyo is large, quiet, solemn, and autumnal. For someone like me who has been away from university for decades, it feels familiar and also appreciates the academic atmosphere of the university. At the main gate of the university, there are many tourists checking in and taking photos, some are live streaming. Around noon, I also had a meal in a restaurant at the school.
