Strolling around the Bentendo Hall at the Shinobazu Pond in Ueno Park, the sunshine is a bit strong

Shinobazu Pond Bentendo I came in a hurry and didn't learn about it beforehand, so I had no idea what the Shinobazu Pond Bentendo was dedicated to. I had to look up information, read posts and see photos shared by netizens to understand that the bridge was built later, that this place used to be an islet in the middle of the lake, and that there was a large bronze biwa (Japanese lute) in front of the Bentendo. When I arrived, the place was filled with stalls, completely blocking the view, so I didn't notice it at first. Only after carefully looking at the photos I took did I indeed spot the bronze biwa. It enshrines Benzaiten from the Hogon-ji Temple at Lake Biwa, but I don't really understand it either. As a tourist, I just enjoyed the scenery. While there, I encountered a middle-aged man and woman, who were from China, but I guessed they were not tourists but Chinese people living in Japan, visiting Tokyo, because from their conversation, it seemed they were also very unfamiliar with this area...
