Tokyo Tower Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jul)
Shibakoen Station - Shiba Park - Tofuya Ukai - Tokyo
Tokyo Tower citywalk route
1. Navigate to Toufuya Ukai, the tofu restaurant, via the direct slope that's great for taking photos. 2. At the railing by the road in front of Akabanebashi Station, the cars passing by in the background make for a good scene, especially if a red car passes by, slow down the shutter speed on your camera to match with the red tower;
3. In front of Ukai Tofu restaurant, there's a staircase with a great sense of depth. Get there early with a wide-angle lens to avoid the long queue, and sitting at the corner for a photo feels particularly special.
4. SMBC Mita-dori Branch. Take a photo with the tower at the pedestrian crossing of the Mitsui Sumitomo Bank, or you can stand by the railing at the side of the road for a candid shot. Inside Shiba Park, the natural scenery frames the tower beautifully.
Use a telephoto lens to zoom in to the top, you can get a beautiful close-up of the tower's spire!
