Zojoji Temple

Zojoji Temple, officially named "San'en-zan Kōdō-in Zojoji," is a Jodo sect temple founded by Honen Shonin. Located just a 3-minute walk from Shibakoen Station and offering views of Tokyo Tower, it was established in 1393 (Meitoku 4) and is one of the seven major head temples of the Jodo sect. Adjacent to the temple is Shiba Park. Minato City Shiba Park is situated between Zojoji Temple and Shiba Toshogu Shrine, with Tokyo Tower in the background. This open park, centered around a lawn area, covers 13,522.06 square meters and is a place where anyone can relax, surrounded by history and culture.
