ART GALLERY OF ONTARIO, TORONTO 🇨🇦
I have a Toronto Public Library Card and one of the benefits of having one is to be able to get a FREE PASS. So, I was able to get a FREE PASS from the library and went to the gallery on a Friday. I started going around at 2pm and tha gallery closes at 5pm. I only had 3 hours and I know that 3 hours is not enough to see so many paintings and art pieces. You can see a lot of Art on the 1st and 2nd floor. 3rd floor is only for special occasions or exhibitions. 4th and 5th floor for contemporary. Note: Tripods and selfie sticks not allowed. #art #art Gallery #artsHunting #arts #artgalleryofontatio
If you love the arts you mustn’t miss the Art Gallery of Ontario.
Get a feel of Toronto’s arts and culture at the Art Gallery of Ontario, check out the art exhibitions here!
The gallery’s collection comprises over 40,000 pieces, and you can get a real feel for the cultural flavor of a top collection.
I absolutely love one spiral staircase inside the gallery. Constructed in glued laminated timber, the spiral staircase is a spectacular highlight of the gallery’s wooden construction.
Local teachers bring their students to see the exhibitions here. Sitting together in a circle, they absorb the spirit of individual expression and free innovation from an artist’s point of view. In this sanctuary of the arts, we get to see the whole seemingly familiar world with a brand new perspective.
Opening hours: 10:00 AM - 5:30 PM (closed Mondays, extended to 8:30 PM on Wednesdays)

And he built the largest castle in North America, Casa Roma, for his beloved wife to overlook the entire city.
Casa Rome is built like a medieval castle and is the most luxurious private residence in North America. As the richest man in Canada at the time, he was a huge man, and he was very extravagant. The castle was full of precious furniture and art, just like a museum, beautiful and dazzling. The rooms are designed in Chinese style and display many oriental antiques in the interior. The giant snail lacquer peacock painting screen may be the famous Yangzhou famous product that year! As the saying goes, life is impermanent, and the wind and water turn. Later, because of the war, the Berat family faced bankruptcy, and the Lara was like a building. The castle was sold cheaply and eventually became a public place. CN Tower view from the Centre Island
When you see this view/picture you know that you are in Toronto or in Canada!
I have been in different places in downtown Toronto and I got some good pictures of the CN Tower. I am always looking for the spot where I can take a picture of the CN Tower that looks something like in the magazines, books or even what you see in movies. I went to the Toronto Port Area and could not get a good picture of the CN Tower. I also went to the Cherry Beach Area and still the same, the view of the CN Tower was not as good as what I see in books and magazines.
When I went to Toronto Islands, specifically Olympic Park place, I got a stunning view of the CN Tower! I stayed there for hours and it was amazing!

Hip and trendy Toronto
Toronto is Canada's largest city and lived truly to this title. It's a cosmopolitan melting pot of the different cultures that live in the city. The city has plenty to do and many tasty bites to try out.
Head to St. Lawrence market for a tasty Peameal Bacon Sandwich. While in the area, also make sure to stop by the Gooderham building, a pretty flatiron building that stands out amongst its peers. Then head to city hall to take a quintessential picture of the Toronto sign. Nearby, the Kensington market area is a great place for lunch. I recommend the jerk chicken which is delicious and for everyone's budget. You can spend the afternoon wandering around the area, along with Chinatown, which is a lovely ethnic enclave selling authentic Chinese food. The University of Toronto also has a lovely campus to stroll around.
Toronto is also a very outdoorsy city, with the Toronto islands a short ferry ride away. You'll also stumble upon the iconic CN Tower while heading to the ferry pier. The islands are an absolute oasis and you'll get lovely views of Lake Ontario and of the cityscape.
Overall, Toronto is a hip city which you'll have plenty to keep you busy. It's trendy districts also have hidden eats which are tasty and affordable. You'll also be greeted with lovely parks on Toronto islands.

Toronto island is located just south of Downtown Toronto. You can get to the island by taking the taxi boat or there is a regular scheduled bat that will take you to the island for $5.00 Canadian. Also, there is a second boat that is designed to take bikers with their bikes
#mynovgetaway#awesomepic#couplestrip
Toronto Island is more like the locals’ backyard.
Setting out from Lakeshore Pier, a 10-minute ferry ride will send you from the city center of Toronto onto the Islands, with a wide range of scenic routes to choose from for your visit. The ferry connects Toronto’s Center Island, Algonquin Island and Ward’s Island.
Motorized vehicle traffic is not allowed on the island, but bikes and small boats are available for rental. This little haven of peace and quiet is tucked away from it all inside a broad swath of greenery, offering the locals of Toronto their very own private backyard and a refreshing corner to cleanse their weary souls.
Ferry tickets: CAD 7.87 for adults, CAD 5.16 for teenagers less than 19 years of age and seniors. CAD 3.80 for children less than 14 years of age. Once you’ve purchased the ferry ticket, cross the pier and show your ticket to the staff. You do not need a ticket to come back to the city from the island.
