Amazing Polish Food in York

Whilst in York, we have the pleasure of dining at The Blue Barbakan. They serve up some of the most yummy Polish food I’ve ever had. The food is fresh, wholesome and tastes like delicious home cooked food. Portions are generous too and you’re sure to leave feeling extremely satisfied and full. We ordered the pierogies, hunter’s stew and a mushroom soup to share. The beef pierogies were packed full of meat with a chewy savory exterior. The hunter’s stew had lots of beef chunks, sausages and cabbage and tasted just like what mom would cook on a cold winter’s day. The star however, is the good ol’ mushroom soup. It was easily the best we’ve ever tasted. There was chunks of fresh mushroom inside with a unique flavour that we can’t describe in words. You need to head there to try for yourself!
