Getting There - Train (Glasgow central—York) Attractions - Clifford‘a tower, shambles market, York minster, York city walls Hotels - Diamond’s villa Food & Restaurants - Shopping - Alys bakery, 200 degrees coffee shop, Cresi pizza It took about 4 hours from Glasgow to York. We went to York Minster and hung around the city. Betty’s tea room is very nice. Although the afternoon tea is very famous, I would suggest takeaways from their bakery. Not only to avoid the queues but also the price is more reasonable. The pizza and bakery were fantastic as well. suggested visit time: 3 -4 days
