Is this the Vietnamese version of Disney? Guide to a one-day tour of Bana Hills
This time coming to Da Nang, Vietnam, the biggest surprise is this place called Bana Hills. This resort built by the French at an altitude of 1400 meters on the mountain has now become a Vietnamese version of Disney that integrates dining, accommodation, and entertainment.
💝Must-visit
1. The Hand of God Bridge (go before 8 am or after 5 pm)
2. French Village (suitable for taking photos, most beautiful in the evening)
3. Manual roller coaster (70,000 Vietnamese dong, just too short in duration)
4. Indoor amusement park (various amusement facilities, including an indoor drop tower)
5. Castle mini train (enjoy the exterior of the castle and the scenery of Bana Hills)
6. The Great Buddha (standing on the mountain top overlooking all beings)
📸Photo spots:
There are many places in Bana Hills that are worth visiting and taking photos
1. The square in front of the Mercure Hotel entrance
2. The Hand of God Bridge
3. Castle train
4. Cable car
5. The Great Buddha
6. Pink castle
🛏️Accommodation
📍Mecure Danang (Mercure Bana Hills)
This beautiful hotel is worth staying for a night, so you won't be too rushed when visiting Bana Hills
🔸It's like living in a European castle or an upgraded version of Moganshan's Naked Heart Castle. Open the window and you'll see the spire church and the central square. The most beautiful moment of Bana Hills is actually after four or five o'clock when the tourists go down the mountain.
Lying on the windowsill of the room's attic, you feel like a princess on the run waiting for a prince to rescue.
🔸Staying on the mountain, you can take another cable car passage exclusive to the hotel, without squeezing with tourists, basically no queuing
🔸In the morning and evening, you can take photos of the Hand of God Bridge when tourists go down the mountain
🍽️Dining
🔸There are many packages online that include lunch buffet and tickets. In fact, there are many restaurant choices on the mountain, with Chinese, Korean, and Western cuisines, so you don't need to waste time on an expensive buffet at noon.
🔸If you stay at the Mercure Hotel, you can have brunch in the buffet restaurant in the morning and solve lunch as well.
🔸For dinner, you can go to the beer square, where there is music, beer, and barbecue, and the atmosphere is great.
🎫Tickets
🔸It is recommended to stay on the mountain for one night, so the ticket, which is also the cable car ticket, will be cheaper by a few tens of yuan.
🔸If you don't stay on the mountain, tickets are divided into day and night sessions, and entering after 3 pm for the night session will be cheaper
🚠Transportation
🔸You can take a grab taxi from the city center of Da Nang to the foot of Bana Hills, which costs about 90-100 yuan, and then take the cable car up the mountain.
🔸There is a free bus from the city center to Bana Hills every day, departing from the little bana hill restaurant entrance

Danang, Vietnam
Hotel: Grandvrio City Danang
Highlights
1. Day Trip to Ba Na Hills
- Sun World Theme Park: quaint little french village with aesthetic buildings and fun rides. both indoor and outdoor. most enjoyed the alpine coaster, bumper cars and swing chair ride. also had an exhilarating ride on the tower of terror
- Famous Hand Bridge: majestic, famous golden bridge that attracts hordes of tourists. also had an underrated flower garden and greek tour. nice place but way too crowded, impossible to take pictures without people in the background. amazing weather - cool and not humid. a light jacket would be useful.
- Cable Car: longest cable car ride in the world, even getting a Guinness World Record. 40 minutes up the mountain with a waterfall and amazing scenery. 10/10 recommend the experience.
2. Day Trip to Hoi An
- Hoi An Ancient Town: quaint town with a huge river and many many lanterns. super pretty and an excellent location for photos. many things to do - cafe hopping, souvenir shopping, ceramics, bike riding, even a bump boat ride or the spinning coconut boat ride. amazing experience, though come prepared as it’s very hot and humid
- Restaurants: Morning Glory and Mai Fish
Night Walk At Ba Na Hills
#wheretogo
I actually arrived at SunWorld Bana Hills close to sunset and all the rides were closing, so we rushed to play some of them such as the alphine coaster. After dinner, we were really surprised the whole resort so empty!
We did knew the day trippers would be gone but its amazing how the other hotel guests are hiding in their rooms. We walked round and round just admiring everything because I have not been to Europe and the cold weather. Both of these are not available in Singapore where I come from.
There are many photo spots with nicely decorated flowers on them apart from all the nice building and architecture. You will also get a sneak balcony preview of other higher rooms tier that are deeper into the resort.

Hoi An Old Town Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jul)
🇻🇳 Charming Hoi An Ancient Town
A visit to Da Nang is not complete without visiting Hoi An which is located 30 km from Da Nang International Airport. Inscribed in 1999 as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Hoi An Ancient Town is an exceptionally well-preserved example of a South-East Asian trading port dating from the 15th to the 19th century. We spent half a day exploring the ancient town which is famous for its traditional architecture, lantern-lit streets and vibrant atmosphere and iconic Japanese Covered Bridge. There were plenty of opportunities for us to capture stunning photos as we explored the old town. We also enjoyed checking out clothes stores which sell Vietnamese traditional costumes with beautiful prints.

💜Splendid Hoi An💜
🇻🇳Harmonious Hoi An🇻🇳
This ancient city of Hoi An is just so splendid in all aspects. As we walked around, we noticed how beautifully built the structures are and the vibrant color of yellow. We also noticed lots of art around on walls as well as their signature lanterns hanging in a lot of places. It really makes you feel like you are whipped back in time when you walk around Hoi An—it truly gives you a unique experience—an unforgettable one I might add. I really enjoyed witnessing all sorts of cultural
aspects in this town, even their Starbucks was adorable!

Strolling Along The River
#wheretogo
A popular tourists attraction in Hoi An ancient town is the thu bon river that goes around the area giving an extra touch while exploring the area.
There is a very famous Japanese bridge that’s more than 400 years old now which was under construction when we are there.
However there is still the main bridge that allows pedestrians to cross over the different sides of the town.
But the main highlight is the river boat ride with lanterns! Usually tourists will ride it after darkness but we saw some of them riding in the evening. We chose darkness because we only had one night and wanted to explore the town first.
Spinning Basket Boats - Vietnam
Solo Travelling around Vietnam.
Attended the Eco Cooking Class in Hoi An and included, was a ride to the cooking class venue via a basket boat. A fun and unique experience! Our boat driver was hilarious and spun us around in the basket boat. Included is some crab fishing, fisherman net throwing and boat paddling. Met some fellow solo travellers.
Highly recommended ❤️

Romantic Trip of a lifetime..
Halong Bay is best appreciated by cruise - either day trip or staying overnite on board. The trip started with a small boat transfer to the cruise boat. Greeted by friendly staff, the trip started with a cool towel, a welcome drink and a briefing. Then enjoyed the view of the karst limestone from your room or the upper deck. After a seafood lunch - kayaking in the bay area allows us to be closer to nature. Watching the sun set from the upper deck and a good dinner ends a great day in Halong Bay. Which cruise to choose? Depending on your needs, budget and time. Mine - Small cruise (large cruise can be noisy) ala carte meal ( managing what we can or can not eat) and room with Balcony and Jacuzi (perfect for our anniversary)
Ha long bay caves.
At Ha Long Bay, it is home of many spectacular caves with unique geology, aesthetics, and archaeology values. Although the trek into the cave is tiring due to the stairs and humidity, but once you are in, you will be truly amazed by the natural structure of the caves various stalactites and stalagmites hanging from the ceiling. Furthermore, the stone artifacts date back to several years ago so you can learn interesting historical information from the tour guide.
Ha Long is a majestic jewel of Vietnam
Prepare to be mesmerized as you set foot in Ha Long Bay, a true natural wonder of Vietnam. With its awe-inspiring limestone karsts rising from emerald waters, Ha Long Bay offers a breathtaking landscape that will leave you in awe.
Cruising through the bay is an experience like no other. As your boat glides along the calm waters, you'll be treated to panoramic views of the majestic karsts, each one adorned with lush vegetation. The sheer magnitude of the bay's beauty is overwhelming, creating a sense of tranquility and serenity.
Exploring the hidden caves and grottoes that dot the bay is a highlight of any visit. These mystical formations, shaped by centuries of geological processes, reveal stunning stalactites and stalagmites, creating an otherworldly ambiance. The most famous among them is the Thien Cung Cave, with its intricate rock formations and vibrant colors that will leave you in awe.
For those seeking adventure, kayaking through the bay's calm waters is a must. Paddling amidst the towering karsts, you'll have the opportunity to discover secluded lagoons and hidden beaches. The untouched beauty and peacefulness of these spots create an intimate connection with nature.
Ha Long Bay is not just about its natural beauty; it also offers a glimpse into the local culture. Visiting floating fishing villages, you'll witness the daily lives of the resilient communities that call the bay their home. Engaging with the locals and learning about their traditions and livelihoods adds depth to your experience.
As the sun sets over the bay, the scenery transforms into a breathtaking display of colors. The golden hues reflecting off the water and illuminating the karsts create a truly magical atmosphere. It's a moment that will forever be etched in your memory.
To fully immerse yourself in the beauty of Ha Long Bay, consider spending a night on a traditional junk boat. Breathtaking landscape in Mui Ne - White Sand Dunes
White Sand Dunes, is one of the only desert areas in Vietnam.
White Sand Dunes is stretching in the area of Mui Ne sandy hills. The name of White Sand Dunes originates from its sand's color. The white sand hills are also named Bau Trang (White Lake). It is about 62km from Phan Thiet City to White Sand Dunes to the northeast, and about 30km from Mui Ne.
The most striking part of the area is a small lagoon covered in lotus flowers. Beside the lake, there is also a small pine forest that keeps the wind cool, even in the hot desert.
Hope you like this post if you found this useful. Cheers :)

Saigon-The pearl of the far east
My 1-day trip to Saigon was a fantastic experience, and one of the highlights was visiting the Saigon Post Office. The post office is a beautiful colonial building that showcases the city's rich history and architectural beauty.
Upon entering the post office, I was immediately struck by its grandeur and old-world charm. The interior is adorned with elegant French-inspired designs, from the high ceilings with ornate chandeliers to the intricate mosaic floor.
One of the main attractions of the Saigon Post Office is the stunning central hall, which houses numerous counters for sending and receiving mail. The atmosphere was bustling with activity as locals and tourists alike went about their postal needs. It was fascinating to witness the efficiency and organized operation of this historic post office.
I also had the opportunity to explore the many small shops within the post office, where I found a variety of unique souvenirs, stamps, and postcards to bring back home. The staff was friendly and helpful, providing me with recommendations and information about the post office's history.
Overall, my 1-day trip to Saigon and the Saigon Post Office was a delightful experience. I highly recommend visiting this iconic landmark for its architectural beauty, historical significance, and the chance to capture a glimpse of Saigon's vibrant atmosphere. Inggat! ❤️👋#Saigon #Vietnam #Southest Asia #Young #solotravel
an ACTUAL post office to visit in Vietnam 💌🏤
#timetotravel
I am pleasantly surprised by the fact that the Vietnamese has turned an active post office (that is still in operation) into a tourist attraction where you can buy stamps, postcards and other souvenirs and mail it internationally. This is so smart!!
I did some digging by the shop and managed to get two really cute stamp sets for 120,000 Dong each (~40 HKD each).
I remember seeing it costs around 50,000 Dong (~17 HKD) to send a postcard internationally but do check with the counter if you intent to send a postcard.
NOTE: the post office closed at 5pm so make sure you do not miss its opening hours

Saigon Central Post Office
One of my favorite place to visit in Ho Chi Minh city, it's called Saigon Central Post Office.
Located in the heart of Ho Chi Minh city, Saigon Central Post Office has various type of postcards and souvenirs. Tourist can come here, pick their favorite postcards, write on them, and send immediately to all over the world through this post office. Many cute Vietnam souvenirs also available here.
The location is just next to the beautiful Basilica Notre-Dome Saigon. You can go here by motorbike taxi from your hotel. It's cheap and fast ✨
