Malia Palace Archaeological Site - Greece

Malia Palace, located 3 km east of Malia, was built around the same time as the great Minoan palaces of Phaistos and Knossos. The first palace dates from about 1900 BC, then it was rebuilt after an earthquake in 1700 BC, after which it was again damaged by the forces of the elements around 1450 BC. Most of what you see today are the remains of the Second Palace, where many exquisite Minoan artifacts have been found, including the famous golden bee pendant.
